Book Suggestions? - December 30th 2010, 12:29 AM

I need some new books, I absolutely love to read. I prefer fantasy, although I might read a few others as well. One serious that I have gotten into is the Temeraire series which is about dragons during a time when france was at war. Quite interesting. I also loved the books The Sight and Fell which are about wolves, so I like animal books too. Willow was okay too. Those are some ideas of what I like to read, but I really am open to a lot of different ones. I just need some suggestions. I do not like vampires though, I'm just tired of them really. The only vampire book I found be be great was Interview with the Vampire. It was awesome.

So any suggestions?

Are you into classics? I have some favorites in British and Russian literature.

Have you ever been on Goodreads.com? I find it amazing for finding new books.

I very rarely like classics, but there are a few that I have read that I liked.

As for goodread, I've never gone there, and thanks I will check it out.

If you haven't read A Game of Thrones yet, do it now.

Re: Book Suggestions? - January 4th 2011, 02:01 AM

Since you just read a book about wolves, I was thinking of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series. Although I haven't read the books myself, I heard that they were quite good The first book is called Shiver, and there's a second book called Linger.

The first books that came to my mind
And also, I thought you might like Stardust by Neil Gaiman. It's an enthralling fantasy book. It's also supposed to be an "adult fairy tale". This I read and I loved it It's about a boy named Tristan Thorn who fell in love with a lovely girl in his small English town called Wall. With his heart, he promises to find the falling star they saw in the sky together in exchange for her hand in marriage. So, unconditional love for her drives him across this wall into a forbidden land known as Farie. And there's all sorts of imaginative things that were unbeknownist to him. Also, the falling star isn't what it seemed to be at first.
Neil Gaiman is a great fantasy writer, maybe you might want to look into him
Hope this helps ya

I've already read Shiver and Linger, and loved them. I'll look into Stardust though. I think I've heard of it too. Thanks.

I fell in love with the Percy Jackson series.

You might like "Wicked". There's one more that I just can't remember the title of.

The Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. They're my favourite books ever

Also, I second Nicola on joining up to Good Reads I've found loads of books to read off of there.

Hahah My favourite book is The Sight by David Clement.
It's about talking wolves...sounds stupid but I found it REALLY good,

Vampires
Sookie stackhouse novels (yes the true blood books. Tv show ruined them...)
And of course Interview with the Vampire.

Pansexual. Problematically Pierced. Disturbed and Depressed. And a Lost Realist.
Got a question? I might just have an answer. Feel free to PM me.
