People Make Fun of Me Because of My Weight - December 9th 2012, 05:10 AM

I am a chubby guy, and I kinda have man-boobs. Normally I wouldn't really care, but lately, they keep jiggling whenever I do anything, and it's making me really self-conscious. This isn't just when I run around or jump, but whenever I walk, sit down, or even shift my position. I've always been on the chunkier side, but now I'm just downright fat, and I keep noticing people pointing at me and giggling. Also, the other day, my friends and I were playing basketball, and they were saying that I had "moobs" and that I was bouncing and that it was nasty. It's really hurting my feelings. What should I do?

Hi Jake,

I'm sorry to hear about how people been treating you, that's not right of them and I would report them to a Teacher you trust. If you want to go on the weight loss routine. You should talk to your parents about the food in the house. You should also try keeping a journal and writing down what you eat and at what times.

That'll help you just keep track of it. I'm not saying you need to stop eating, You should eat 3 to 5 good sized meals a day. Drink also a lot more water instead of sugary drinks. I'm not saying you have to never drink them, but one a day is good!

-Also just try to get a bit more active, play a bit more basketball, or try to walk during the day. Walk a mile, then two, then try to get to jogging. You can also get in some light strength training such as push-ups, stomach crunches, burpees, and planking.

Just remember, you don't have to change everything over night. just ease into it. If you want to lose weight, you want to do it healthy. Those kids also have no right to treat you like that, keep your chin up, Jake. There's nothing to be ashamed about. If you want to talk, i'm always around.
