How to deal with this? - August 21st 2009, 05:51 AM

Okay, so in school I am constantly bullied and harrassed because of my body. I'm fat and ugly.... so yeah. then there is this one gang that does everything they can. They beat up my friends, they grafitti on my property, they destroy my things. What can I do to cope? THe grafiti and stuff isn't that bad, as a few of them got arrested, but how do I deal with the harrassment?

keep your head up. its hard but you can be the stronger and better person. show them that NOTHING will bring you down, and if that dosent work then go to an adult or ask your parents if you can move schools. if no, maybe a restraining order? once you are out of school with them (graduate) you will never have to deal with them again. hopefully soon they will realize how mean they were and will stop, but until then just be strong and keep the faith that one day things will be better, because they will be. good luck =] message me if you ever need to talk...

Tell them thank you. They only do it because it makes you mad.

Hey there.

This isn't an easy situation for anyone to deal with, and no-one deserves to be put through this day after day.
As hard as it is, you just have to let it go. Certain people will always try and find ways to drag others down with them; and you have to understand you are a better person then all of them.
Id really think bout talking to a parent or teacher, and even though nothing may happen at first at least people are aware of what's happening. You may be pretty worried about this, and I do understand how hard it is, but what's the worst thing that can happen?

Don't let them get you down. As hard as things get, whatever support you need for it, you area stronger person for dealing with this. I also want to point out, that whatever people say, you are not fat, and youre not ugly. Learn to love yourself, and find people that love you just the way you are!

You might want to have a look at our resources list that can be located [here] and could give you some great ways to cope with this.
I hope this helps, and feel free to PM me anytime you need to. You're not alone in this, and we're here to help anytime you need it

Best of luck!

Stay strong and don't let them get to you. If they are doing all of that because of how you look then they aren't worth your time and upset. You're not fat or ugly and you shouldn't let them make you think that you are. Keep your head up, ignore what they do and carry on about your day, just laugh it off and they'll soon realise that it isn't having the same effect on you that it use to and they'll get bored. Also, maybe tell an adult about it, see if they can help sort the situation.
