Getting tired - January 11th 2010, 01:50 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of peer pressure or bullying, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I’m think this belongs here, seems to be closer to bullying… sorry if it is wrong.
There are a lot of problems at the schools in my area. So it seems like they handle the serious stuff like when people are physically hurt and/or a weapon is used or victim of “targeted and repetitive” abuse but seem to overlook the “lesser” occurances.
I don’t fit the first category but have experienced the second (the “lesser” occurances) category…well at least at school. In the past two years at school I have been pushed down, spit on, laughed at, touched, fondled, been given pornographic pictures and notes slipped into my locker and the like. But because none of these hit the magic number of occurances or repetitions I have not been able to get any help from the teachers and principal. I have read the info in this section, having problems making it work, still get picked on. So I’m still unsure how to handle this anymore. I fear it will be worse next year when I start high school and I have no idea on how to handle it. I don’t have anyone close enough to call a friend, so I’m feeling kind of alone here. ( I know it happens to others, but they don’t feel like talking about it)

Well it is disgusting that you are being ignored just because you haven't been bullied "enough", I don't know what else to tell you othedr than to try and make sure it doesn't get to you.

High School doesn't have to be a bad thing, in fact it is a new begining in lot of ways. You meet new poeple and make new freinds don't be nervous about it.

Hello there.
Well, i am very sorry to hear about your bad experiences in bullying. I've gotton bullied for 13years now, because of being fat i guess ... Nobody liked the fat kid ...

As my time went on, i learnt to ignor it, however, i could still see it all the time.
It is horrible that no-one has seemed to help you ... i am very shocked by this as bullying is a serious matter.

How i dealt with it wasnt the right way. I used to lock myself in the bathroom because i knew i the world didnt want to see me. Well, so i thought.
You need to keep your head held high and show them it doesnt bother you ... harder than it looks i know, however some teachers can be pants! ... Once i had enough and i went to my head of year crying and shouting " I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS RIGHT NOW" ... She went to speak to those people ... but there were more people wanting to hurt my feelings...

you really need to raise your voice to someone who can help. Now, i used to go to counsilling... this isnt for "insane" people ... councilers help people on a whole range of different issues! ... if you feel you have no-one to talk to, sometimes its nice to talk to someone you dont really know ... and they are professionals and wouldnt make judgment of you. It is a great stress reliever, and if you want to cry, you go ahead and cry because it's very healthy to do so, as you dont want to bottle anything up. It will cause to much stress, so dont be affraid to let your feelings out.

i really hope you will find happiness soon. Don't worry what other people think. I don't ... i've gone on a whole rollercoaster of a ride, and i hated it. However, if i can get threw something, anybody can.

You can only be yourself, and if that isnt good enough for anybody, then thats there problem ... Chin up and keep smiling

Thank you both for taking taking the time to help. I'll try your suggestions!!! Its just hard to deal with at times. Sometimes I feel stormy andwant to strike out at them, but that would just get me in trouble ( both, the teachers and them)

As for high school, my school is one of 4 ro 5 schools that "feed" the one high school....so I'm afraid that all the bad will get to together and I won't have a chance.

If you have any more suggestions, plz post

Ya generally fighting back isn't a great option, like i said before just keep ur head up.

one strange thing about high school for me was that not oly did i meet new poeple but i also became closer with the poeple from my old school who i didn't really know.

In the first year of highschool everyone is new, everyone is an outsider. Go in with a good attitude and a smile and u will have more freinds than u know wat to do with.
