Triggering (Bullying): Bullying in your circle of friends

Hello everyone
I'm currently in my last year of high school and is studying Society and Culture. As a part of my course i have to do a personal interest project. I am focusing in BULLYING IN CIRCLE OF FRIENDS. Some may have an experience in this matter and just afraid to speak out. But if any of you can help me out and tell me your experience or even thought, perspective and knowledge about this matter will help me big time If you want to tell it to me privately, you can private message me or leave your facebook account or msn thanks

Can you please be slightly more specific? You could either mean
a) Friends that stick together to bully others
b) Some of the friends of your circle are being bullied by other kids
c) The friends of your circle bully each other (and you as well?)
So what is your exact need for infromation?

Yeah, i'm agreeing with Aidan, I'm not quite sure what you mean by bullying in a circle of friends.
(ha ha, i didn't expect a thread like this, thats for sure)

haha sorry guys i meant to say is, a friend of your is bullying either you or someone in ur group, it could be vice versa

Hmmm... sorry but i can't really say any of my friends are bullies. However I have tried to befriend quite a few bullies, by talking to them, as if they were a friend. I want to see if i can get closer to bullies and try to change them from the inside.

One thing I have found is that a bully will never bully anyone if his/her friends arn't around. A group of bullies always seems to peer pressure each other into bullying, without even knowing it. But while one is alone, he/she can be quite nice.

I've had the same group of friends.. more or less since elementary school, with the addition of other friends as we went through middle school etc. There's been bullying in our group.. especially the last few years. You know how it is, a couple of girls get into a fight, then the bullying starts, everyone takes sides, etc. Usually when something like this happens, one or two of us will try to mediate, to work out whatever problem is going on. Doesn't always work though.

Mm there's one girl in our group who tends to bully the rest of us, we tend to just ignore her though and not take seriously what she says about us.. as everyone agrees she goes too far sometimes with her comments.
