Anxiety and failure - July 20th 2012, 01:33 AM

I have HORRIBLE anxiety when it comes to school. I'll literally hand in things late because I am so afraid if I give the paper to my prof he/she will hate it and fail me even if I tried putting a lot of thought into the writing. I can't stand it. It freaks me out so much. What should I do about this?

Feel free to PM me if you ever need to chat or have questions

I've failed a few courses because of similar fears. I'll think my work isn't good enough so I won't do it at all. But when I DO turn in my work, I either end up doing really well or get some helpful criticism.

However, your anxiety is causing significant problems in your schoolwork. You should talk to a school counselor or schedule an appointment with a therapist. I did it when I was at my worse and it helped. Hell, I think I'm gonna have to do it again cause I didn't do so well this last semester.
