I suffer from Paranoia....an extreme version of anxiety! It comes along with my psychosis. I take clonazepam to help me on a day to day basis.

I think everybodies anxiety differs, ranging from the severity and the sort of problem.

If you think if you want to combat your anxiety theres also a lot of therapy as well as medication.

Try some C.B.T (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) with a therapist. This helps the negative thoughts change into positive thoughts

I have anxiety due to depression, especially in social situations.
But I have been taking Celexa for my depression, which has also helped a bit with the anxiety issues as well.

I think I have an anxiety disorder. Everytime I have an asthma attack or something isn't quite the way I want it to be I can't really breathe. My hands shake and I can't feel them. I can't feel any of my limbs and I even lose feeling right around my nose and mouth. Most of the time it's not even mental. I just get thrown into this losing battle. ): Not fun.

Re: Anxiety? - September 4th 2009, 04:20 AM

I've been diagnosed with SAD (social anxiety disorder), panic attacks, clinical depression, manic depression... I don't know which, if any, I have, but I know that I'm not alone in feeling the way I do... which means that neither are any of you.

I've taken buspirone and zoloft, but currently I'm not on anything (I stopped taking them on my own). They didn't necessarily give me the help I need and I've found that healing myself through thought and writing and sharing my feelings has been most helpful. That said, I have family members who really do need medication to help their brain chemistry, and in turn, help them self-heal. So it really depends on each person's needs.

If anyone needs to share their feelings, I'm here (PM me!). I just joined so I'm eager to discuss.

I have been diagnosed with Social Anxiety, but I believe that to be incorrect, even though I do suffer from many of the symptoms. Feel free to message me if you want to talk about it. I am new too.

I get anxiety sometimes too, but not on a daily basis, but sometimes people bring subjects off that set off the anxiety, and I don't even know why I have those reactions to certain subjects, never sought any help over though...
