Unhappy Anxiety. - March 18th 2010, 08:04 AM

You prob know what this thread is about, and idk how to start it out, but even since I was about maybe 11 or 12 I've been having constant anixety and constant mood swings (I know bipolar). I feel like it rules over my life possibly. I'm a person who is known of having alottt of stress in my life and stressing out over school, family, etc....People see me stress all the time and I hate it so much. I try to smile and it's usually a fake smile. Even in pictures it shows it very much. I haven't done anything about it because it's something I'm used to. Also, my mood swings, I've been controlling them but right now not so good. They are changing back and forth again so they prob dont go away nautrally but other ways like meds or exercise or yoga.....but I've been but it still exists so I feel like I need possibly meds. When I'm low it's horrible and emotions come to me it's not a pretty sight and thats when sucidal thoughts go to play...I really don't know what to do now....I really wish this feeling would go away.....

So I'm taking back what's mine, you'll miss
The slice of heaven that I gave to you last night

I think you should see a Doctor. If Anxiety has persisted for more than 6 months and it's interfering with your life your doctor can help you. Bipolar disorder (if that is what you're diagnosed with) also needs to be controlled and treated otherwise you run a risk of having serious manic episodes and what happens if you experience one of those usually isn't good and you could harm yourself or others. A doctor will be able to help you try and feel better and I suggest you see one as soon as you can.

Remember you're not a doormat
Remember you are valuable
Remember you are repairable
Remember you matter
Remember they don't."

Hey Mary,
Sorry to hear you are going through such a rough time. I know how icky anxiety can be first hand and it is NOT fun. I agree with what Stacy said, definately see a doctor because they can be really helpful. And don't be afraid to try medicine, it really isn't that bad. It might take time to find the rind amount and kind that'll work, but you'll get there. Anxiety often leads to depression also so it's important you get those mood swings under control before they get too bad. Because so many people care about you and want you to be okay. Don't give up, you just need to stand up against that anxiety and tell it you are stronger.
Hang in there,

Whatever it is, chances are I've been there.
If I can make it out, you can too.

Hey there Mary,

It sounds as though you've got a quite of a lot of things going on for you and this stress is having a very negative impact upon you.
Especially because you're suffering from suicidal thoughts from time to time and because you have bipolar disorder, I think it's very important to try and get your anxiety managed as soon as you can. Talking to your psychiatrist about these issues could be very helpful and allow you to learn some coping methods as well as considering any medication or therapy that may help you. You don't deserve to have to suffer with this anxiety and you do deserve to get better and feel happier, Mary.

Take care of yourself.
