Constant Anxiety -
August 12th 2010, 08:53 AM
Hey I'm Alisha and I have really bad anxiety. I've had it for a couple years ever since I had some bad things happen to me. It's really annoying because I always bite either my lip or my nails. Nothing that I've tried has helped. I trie using that nail stuff that makes them take bitter but I still bite them regardless of the taste and I don't know what to do anymore about it. My mom knows about my nail bitting problem but doesn't help me really. Any ideas?
Everthing I see seems to be a lie. And everything you see in me you think is the truth. But, really all you see is what I'm masking the real me with. You never see me cry. Because I'll never let you. And you'll never see me die because I feel like I already have in a way.

The best thing for you to do to stop the nail biting is treat your anxiety. Are you on medication or seeing a therapist? We all get into certain habits when we are dealing with anxiety and often the only way to quit one is treat the other. If you're not getting treated for your anxiety that would be your best option and should be something you should consider especially since you've been dealing with it for so long.
