Question Need help with problem? - February 19th 2011, 05:28 AM

Mm its me again and I know I'm not diagosed for anixety disorder, but I know I do have it totally. I usually have recently started to play video games again and when I play them I get panic attacks.
Is there a way to prevent it so I can enjoy the game?

hey, i'm Livi! panic attacks from video games? totally normal, actually! see, I'm 14 and i used to play games on my laptop before bed every night and soon i started getting panic attacks from it.

video games have a lot of visual stuff in them, even if its as simple as mario. it wakens your mind and keeps your mind on edge from the bright visuals! so then when you put the game away, your mind is still on edge from the game. thats where the panic attacks come from.

so what i suggest is to cut down on the video games slowly, and NEVER play them before you go to sleep. try playing less active video games, and after playing them try to do something to keep your mind off of panic attacks. mabe after playing an hour of games you cud go out and ride your bike? panic attacks are usually caused by paranoia and overall thinking about panic attacks.

stop thinking about when the panic attack will come, and it will calm you down.

i hope i helped! PM me for anything more, really! <333

I may be young, but I know what goes on in the halls of school. And more importantly, I know how to help. <333

Me and my friends have been through a lot, our life is like a cliche drama series. I know how to help in nearly every situation. <333

I'm a strong supporter of homosexual rights, yet my city doesn't necessarily agree with me. Screw my city, because everyone can love who they want! <333
