Panic Attacks -
April 11th 2011, 12:00 PM
Hey.
I'm having more and more panic attacks again. I used to have up to eight a day and although they have calmed down a hell of a lot and I go weeks with out of having one, I've had three in the past four days and I've had two in the past nine hours and It's scaring me. What scares me even more is I know how to control them, I know how to control my thoughts and I know how to deal with the breathing but it doesn't seem to work. And it's scaring me because they make me feel out of control. I don't know what to do. I can't handle having them right now and I just eugh. Any help? Jessie. ![]() Three little birds sat on my window, and they told me I don't need to worry. I don't know if you already practice this, but counting to one hundred is a good way to deal with them. It is being used as a distraction, and a method to calm yourself down. If you are about to have an attack, go outside of your house, and walk around the neighborhood. Go out, feel the fresh air from the outside. It also might help to jog if you really feel agitated. Make sure you are not eating lots of sugary foods. Eat healthy foods, keep a healthy diet. Having a healthy diet and eating healthy foods, can give you a healthy mind. Try writing all of your thoughts down. Drink a cold glass of water. Try to erase the thoughts from your mind that make you panic. Read a book, take a quick nap. I don't know if you are going on medication for your panic attacks, but I would talk to a professional doctor, and let him/her know that you are experiencing severe panic attacks. Panic Attacks are hard to deal with, I can understand completely. I really hope that you get better.
