i dont know if this is a normal feeling or if it can even be fixed. im scared of being happy because honestly i have been unhappy and miserable and stressed for so long it has just became part of me. im scared that if im happy then something will go wrong. im scared that if im not stressed then im not doing something right. it just feels so weird being happy and not stressing so much. will this feeling fade? am i the only person that is going through this. i just wanna know how i can be happy with just being happy and content and not stressed. i wanna feel these ways because im sick of this anxiety. but im also scared of losing myself if my anxiety isnt with me 24/7. what do i do.

This makes me feel less weird. I feel the same exact way, and when I do get to happy, I seek for something to make me upset again, because I feel like my strength of depression slowly starts slipping away. Anyway, I'm basically being forced to stop, but I just figured I'd let you know that you're not alone, and that you're not weird for feeling that way. <3

I've had this before. I was depressed for years, and when things finally started looking up for me it was really scary.
I think it's because of the change; because you've been used to feeling one way for so long and now that you're feeling different it's a little disconcerting. What you have to remember though is that you deserve to feel happy!! (: The worried feeling will fade of course but you should try to embrace what you're feeling and enjoy it while it's there. If you keep reminding yourself that it's ok to be happy, esoecially if you haven't always felt this way, then things will get a lot easier.
