Social Situations. - May 28th 2011, 02:01 PM

Every morning I dread going to school. I tend to become shaky, irritable and silent in social situations (such as group work and talking out in the open), when I'm around others who I don't particularly get along with. I get paranoid and fear that somebody will laugh at me or mock me for whatever I say. I am a very shy person, but it's becoming more than just the 'one-off' like it used to be. It's every day I am at school I feel like this, the fear that everybody is against me.

I feel that way in social situations, as well as other situations, so you're not alone.

Have you considered talking to your GP about this? They would know who could help you, since personally, it sounds like you may have some Anxiety issues. Social Anxiety, most likely. But, I'm not a professional, so I can't diagnose you, but you should probably talk to someone who CAN help you get a diagnosis and stuff.

i was like that too, well i still am a little but not so bad. ive been in counseling for it and it really helps at first its really scary, but they do everything in baby steps so that you dont feel too uncomfortable. but once you overcome the things you fear the most (sometimes you have to push yourself a little) you'll feel as if you can do almost anything afterwards
