How do I revise for GCSE English? - May 13th 2012, 07:37 PM

I have an exam in a few weeks. I don't know what to do :| We'll have two exams, one will be a reading comprehension and the other will be a writing paper (writing a story or whatever)

I don't know what to do to revise I've read my "Persuasive writing" notes, my "how to write a story" notes and my punctuation notes :| I don't know what else to do.

Hey there,

To be honest, English is a really difficult one to revise for because it's so subjective and the question could be on anything. What I'd suggest is just practice. When I did my GCSE for English last year we had an entire day of practicing all the sections of the exam and improving our approach to each part. It's useful. Perhaps write some examples and get them marked, get some feed back from teachers and stuff like that.

Good luck in your exams and I hope this is useful.
