Acting Resume - July 14th 2012, 09:06 PM

Hi, so as I am thinking about getting into community theatre (and maybe paid stuff later on, though I doubt I'll do that). I am trying to make an acting resume so that I can bring in all my relevant experience for auditions including a face pic. Any tips?

For mine, I listed the company, the show name, my job, how many hours I worked for how many weeks for rehearsal, and how many performances I did. I also listed my other experience in the area, with the non-theatre groups I've been with. Of course, I'm in orchestra, so it's a little different. I hope I helped a little bit though.

Sorry I couldn't be there, I was tied to a rocking chair.

Re: Acting Resume - July 15th 2012, 02:40 AM

Hi,

So, when I decided I wanted to make an acting resume, it was REALLY HARD and REALLY CONFUSING (not to discourage you from making one, lol). So I decided to search for programs instead.

I found the PERFECT acting program for me. It's called AMTC, which stands for Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ. It's a Christian based program that auditions people all over the country (including Canada) and adds people to their program. They jumpstart the careers of thousands of actors each year. Here's the website link, to read more about this amazing program:

www.amtcworld.com

Hope I helped and God Bless,
<3, Nikki

LOVE YOURSELF......after all, do you think God would make you a failure if He modeled you AFTER HIMSELF, who is perfect in every way?

I <3 Tampons!
I <3 Texas Boys!
I <3 my besties!!
I <3 Foster the People
I <3 French Fries!
I <3 Chocolate!
I <3 Theatre Arts!
I <3 BHS!!!
I <3 being me!

Just got into AMTC.......Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ.....Google it!

Not that that isn't a good idea or anything.... But I'm not even Christian... So doesn't that sorta defeat the point?

My sister does drama & used to attend an acting school, so she had a resume. She was a young teen though, so you may want a different layout, but this is basically what she did:
Quote:
Name
Address
Phone number
E-mail or personal website

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Height
Weight
Hair color
Eyes color

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Play name
Company it was done through
Year it took place
Character you played

TRAINING
List any acting workshops or dance classes, etc.

SKILLS
Accents you can do
Instruments you play
Even sports you play
Languages you can speak
That's just a rough idea though. The format was a bit different, so you can change it to whatever you feel looks most professional. As I've said, she was a lot younger than you are, so hers might be a bit informal. I'm not sure.
