Results thread 2012! - August 2nd 2012, 04:14 PM

So guys, it's that time of year again!

A level results day is on the 16th August this year, I'm not sure when GCSEs are, but I thought I'd create this so we can all share what we get and what we're hoping for.

I'm hoping to get an A in media, a B in sociology and at least a C in psychology for my AS results. I'm TERRIFIED about psychology though, because I know it was my worst exam. General studies I'm not all that bothered about. A C would be nice simply because I took the effort of doing the exam and I'd like to at least get some UCAS points from it.

So, your go! What are you expecting and what are you hoping for? When results day comes, what did you get!?

Re: Results thread 2012! - August 4th 2012, 12:12 PM

Sooooooo I got my results a bit earlier than everyone else because I do the IB. I was expected to get 25 IB points and needed 26 to get into University.
In the end I got 27 but still failed because of how the 27 points were made up
The great new is that the university didn't care and still accepted me
Good luck to everyone else and I hope you get what you need/want

I need AAAC to study Medicine in October. I'm shooting for A*s if possible though... (who says it's necessary to be relistic? ) I think I got the As: fingers-crossed and knock-wood!

I just can't wait for it to be all done and over with. 5 days to go!!!

The GCSE Results Day is on 23rd August this year. I've already gotten some results for some subjects earlier on this year and got a B in English language, I passed my Key Skills Level 1 in maths (1/2 a GCSE) and a Pass in science. I hope for an A in drama, B in media, Merit or Distinction in music, Pass in ICT and also a C in English literature.

I'm hoping that I have got these grades or better.

Good luck everybody!

I need AAB to do French at uni in London. I already have an A in Film Studies, before I did my June exam resit, so that's reassuring. However, I have no idea how I think I did in other exams. It could go either way! Hoping for the best!

Good luck everyone.

Is that AS levels rather than A levels as ur doing 4? those are amazing results. Dont worry about having to do re-sits. This summer I did 7 exams altogether, i had 5 re-sits! and still managed to get into uni (phew)

Yeah, AS. I'm dropping media studies and carrying on with the other three, which is why I'm retaking maths.

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY I sat the Foundation paper in both so a C was the highest I could get. I'm confused as to how I had a D in the first English exam I thought I done well in that but badly on the second paper.

Got my results a while ago, but I'm satisfied (I did the IB program):

English HL - 6
Spanish HL - 6
History SL - 4
Math HL - 6
Physics HL - 7
Chemistry HL - 6

And with an A on my Extended Essay, I wound up with around 38 points for my diploma on the whole! Quite content.
