Need Morale Boost - January 13th 2009, 02:59 AM

So I just started my second year in the uiniversity and I'm taking Marine Engineering in Electrical and Electronic and for the lst year I got 2.91 out of 4.00 and that is such a big improvement for me because when I was in higschool I usually got 1.20 out of 4.00.So anyway even tho I am proud of my results I still I'm not fully satisfied and I know if I can increase my grade from 1.20 to 2.91 in 6 months I can do better and I just have to work harder but when I found out many of my friends got 3.00 and above I just feel so sad and stupid and my morale just fall completely so now can anyone tell me how can I increase my morale back. Please I need to be ready as soon as possible

Hey there.

Try not to compare yourself to your friend. Everyone learns on a different level and pace and so there is no reason to feel down on yourself. The accomplishment that you have reached is AMAZING and you should feel SO good about that. If you want to keep raising your GPA, I suggest reviewing a little every night so that all the material stays fresh for tests and quizzes. Don't procrastinate on papers and use tutors anytime you don't understand something.

Keep up the great work!
