Medical Leave.

In August I had to have a extraordinarily highly ambitious operation for an infection in my back and now I just got the news that I am ready for my jaw reconstruction, estimated to happen around May. For the first op, I had to take an entire semester off because of internal bleeding and now I have to take the next semester off if the timing goes awry to recover from my double reconstruction.

Would the administrators of most universities become suspicious if you take so much leave in such short periods of time and what effects does that have?

No but make sure that you have the appropriate paperwork.
