School football lessons

Hi everyone :)

So at my school, we have two hour-long mandatory sports lessons a week, and what we do during those lessons changes on a rotational basis. Right now, we do yoga on Mondays (which I look ridiculous while doing, but LOVE) and football on Thursdays, which is already the bane of my existence. We had our first lesson last week, and I was literally the only person in my class who had never done it before. I made a total fool of myself. At the end of the lesson, they put us into teams of four, and had three people stand still and the remaining person dribble the ball around them. Every person in the group had to dribble the ball at some point. On top of this, it was a race. When it was my turn, I completely lost control of the ball and made my team lose, which really pissed them off.
I'm actually quite a sensible person- I have been severely bullied before, both by students and teachers, and have developed a rather thick skin, and I also know that I shouldn't let what others think of me bother me, especially if I don't like them either. But that doesn't stop how embarrassed I feel during these lessons. I really need some help- mainly on how to survive these lessons, but if you have any tips on football, I would be happy to hear them too!

Don't take it personally. This isn't the world cup or anything. You tried your best and that's all that matters. Ask them to teach you how to do it better, if all they are gonna do is bitch and complain at your poor performance. :P
