In summer after first year in college, can one still think of themselves as freshman?

I was wondering, in summer after first year and before second year, can I still consider myself a freshman?

I think it's entirely up to you. Some people still consider themselves freshman and some people start saying they are sophmores etc. If you want to continue saying you are a freshman then go for it. I, personally, don't think there is a right or wrong answer to the question.

I suppose you probably can since you haven't yet started the next year, but I think in high school, university etc, the summer is the awkward limbo phase where nobody is quite sure what they are!
