Recommended Study Strattegies? - August 16th 2018, 07:58 AM

This year Im taking Art, Asteronomy, Geography, US Government, Community Service and English 4.

Does anyone have any note taking methoods that work for them? For one class im using the boxing method and I've tried the cornell method which is great, but how would that work for a notebook?

Are there any other study tips? I'm mainly homeschooled and i plan on taking a college art course and I use online (non interactive, cant even rewind the video, though I can replay it) lectures.

Personally for reference I turn to Britannica for schools. For math last year I recommend Khan Academy and Desmos calulator for long equations.

What other resources, note taking straggies and study tips do you recommend?

There are a lot of study strategies just try to google them and read the article about it. Also, I can recommend you some of them but I don't know whether they will work for you.

This won’t help for note taking, but for studying I made flash cards! This also has the added benefit of helping you by making you rewrite the material, which I’ve heard is helpful for retention. Then you can either quiz yourself or give the flash cards to a friend or family member to quiz you. I like giving mine to someone to quiz me because I can talk things out, but if that’s not an option it might help to say things out loud when studying by yourself.

Let it come and let it be...

Pomodoro technique is a really useful thing n any field of study, I actually use it to take care of all subjects and extracurriculars
