Interview Tomorrow! - July 3rd 2009, 04:25 AM

My very first one and I'm absolutely horrified!
I'm just looking for some tips. I mean, I know the basics:
(look smart, be polite, smile, strong handshake)
I'm just worried/excited about the entire situation.

Any tips?

Prepare well for the interview, take a shower do your hair etc.
Be polite and well mannered...
Dress smart! Jeans are an absolute no for interviews. Black dress pants are good.
Smile... but not alot it looks fake.
I don't know what eles to say...
Good Luck!!

Are you interviewing for a job? Be enthusiastic, but not overly so as that would seem fake. Employers love workers with a positive attitude.

Do lots of preparation! If it is for a job interview think about questions like why you want the job, what skills you have and your strengths and weaknesses. Remember to dress smartly and if you are not sure about something then ask to repeat the question then that gives you more thinking time. I think you need to act confident because then they will think you are even if you feel really nervous inside.

Best of luck with it!

Don't make yourself look too confident, don't be too loud or too quiet. You've pretty much got it down though, the handshake thing, smile and remember to say please and thank you!

Good luck

I think you've got it down for the most part. I just wanted to say good luck! My sister just got a job, and she's like the last person in the world I'd expect to get one, so I think you'll do great, haha! Where are you applying to?

Let us know how it goes!

Re: Interview Tomorrow! - July 4th 2009, 12:06 AM

The interview was at Red Lobster for the hostess position.
It went great. It was short, relaxed, and friendly.
I was even told by the manager interviewing me that I
did great for my first interview. He said to expect a call for a second
interview! Thanks for the tips, guys!
