Experiencing some extreme self-doubt... - July 19th 2009, 05:47 AM

Well, the title explains it. I am literally up at 2 in the morning because I can't sleep. I'm feeling stupid and I don't even know why. I guess it's just college jitters, because I am nervous about failing out and just not being able to meet the intelligence level of my fellow students. I know it probably sounds stupid, but I am legitimately concerned about this. And it's like the more I think about it, the harder it is for me to concentrate on anything. I have to strain my brain just to think about the simplest things. Ugh, this whole 'college scene' is really getting to me...

There will always be people who are way smarter than you. Don't worry about trying to be smarter than them. Just do what you find interesting, and I'm sure you'll come off as intelligent yourself.

Hey, I know I'm only in sixth form so I can't fully relate but there will always be some that are smarter than you, that's the way life goes and you have to learn to accept that and you can only try your best. However if you feel like it's getting too much you can always quit and come back at a later time...?
