Question Job at pet place - August 8th 2009, 10:15 AM

I'm nearly fifteen and I really want a job. I had one for five weeks last year, but I got sacked, as it was at the childcare place my lil sis was out. We took my lil sis out, and they fired me!! How ridiculous.
But anyway, there's this job going at a pet place. I'm wondering if I should apply, and what I should put in my CV? I've never done this before, my mum sorted it all out for me last time.

Maybe you could ask your mum for help again and give you some tips? If you really want this job and earn little pocket money then I think you should go for it.

I think you should totally go for it and try to apply for the job. What's the worst that can happen? Be persistent and you will get a job eventually. With the economy and your age, finding a job may be difficult but certainly not impossible. If a job is what you want, go for it. Plus, you have a lot of great experience - more than somebody else at your age [: That's certainly a plus.

In terms of your CV, is there any way that you could ask your mom for help again? If you don't want to take that approach and would much rather do it on your own, there are a TON of websites that come in great handy that help you write your CV - from a cover letter all the way to a thank you letter and what to do after the interview and whatnot.

Search Google or another search engine for things like "CV tips", "How to write a CV", etc. You're sure to find loads of excellent resources that could really help you out a lot [: Good luck with everything and I hope that you find a job soon!
