Textbook reading assignments - September 23rd 2009, 11:51 PM

I always would like to, just so I know I did things properly and know I did my best in the class - but I just find it so difficult to sit down and actually read chapters from my text book.

Especially since I have 2 classes going on at once (8 week time frames so they go by fast with heavy workload)

One class would want 2 chapters read and another 3 chapters read in a week... and I just don't know if that's possible x_x;

I always end up just researching stuff out of it the discussion topics are on and end up not reading it.

Does anyone have suggestions or better techniques to get more out of my money and more out of my education?

Re: Textbook reading assignments - September 24th 2009, 08:46 AM

I have the same problem. I've always hated reading because I can't concentrate. I have to read a paragraph 2 or 3 times to get it to stick so it ends up taking me a couple hours just to read something that would take a normal person 20 to 30 minutes or so.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than to just try to keep focused as much as possible. Try to eliminate outside distractions when you read and hopefully it will go quicker.
