Job in childcare. - September 25th 2009, 12:47 PM

I went to an interview today for a job as a nursery assistant in a nursery. They want me to go back next week for a few hours, so that they can watch me work with the children, and just for this I'm nervous! But they also want me to bring along an activity. I have to think of an activity for children from age 1 to 2, that they will find fun, entertaining and educational. And I have NO idea what to do :/ Does anyone have any ideas for me?

If you're willing to buy some cheap supplies, you can engage the kids in hand painting. Get small finger paints and large pieces of paper and let them go at it. You may want to clear this with the nursery first.

Puppets or some kind of story telling type activity may be a good idea also.

I would do anything hands on, since they tends to keep their attention better and get them more excited.
