(some language) I would kill for a new job! - October 1st 2009, 03:57 AM

I absolutely can NOT stand my job anymore. The managers are all lying, lazy assholes! So is corporate! I am this close to going in for my shift tomorrow just to say " you all, I QUIT" and leaving. GAAAAAAAH!! I am so sick of their shit and no appreciation after working my ass off for them for 2 years!

You should quit and do something that makes you happy and that is more fulfilling

I can understand how it must be like going into a job that you just can't stand/that you feel under appreciated in. If you feel like it's the right thing to do, then go ahead and quit. If you feel you are being treated unfairly, then contact the relevant people (E.G Your union) and state your case.

But just remember, jobs are not easy to come by lately. There are so many people unemployed at the moment due to the current economic situation, so your workplace would definitely have no problem finding a replacement for you. There are people who would kill for any job. So just think very carefully about it. Find a new job before you go and quit your current one, or you'll be left without anything.

Good luck. I hope it works out all right for you! [:

I agree with x_nicola, due to the money issues etc at the moment, it's very hard for people to get jobs that pay ok money now, they try to pay you minimum wage ;o

Re: (some language) I would kill for a new job! - October 2nd 2009, 08:10 AM

Im trying to get a job that works for what I want to do. But in this ecoomy its hard to get a specific job. I am working on a plan to start my own business, but first I need some professional experience. I want to open a dog day care and I want part of it to be a grooming salon, unfortunately I have no experience actually grooming dogs (unless you count bathing, brushing and nail trims on my own dog). I also don't know anyone in the grooming business and haven't found a groomer looking for a job (though I have just started looking). I am going to apply at Petco for a groomers assistant position but I have applied for other positions there and never heard back from them. Most of the other grooming places around here are just local and I don't really see why any of them would be hiring in this economy. I can't afford classes, besides there aren't any in my area and online classes don't provide any hands on experience. Any suggestions? I have thought about just moving forward with my business plan and only offering what I know how to do until I can get a groomer, or some training myself, but that path would cut out some potential profit and leaves a loose end in my business plan. I'm just thinking "out loud" here. Any suggestions are welcome.
