APA Citation - October 8th 2009, 01:00 AM

My teacher informed me to check back to my manual to correct my one citation on my reference page, but when I look it up, it appears to me it's correct when she says it's in the wrong format.

Can anyone help me out?

Ferrell, O.C., & Hirt, Geoffrey A., & Ferrell, Linda (2009). Business: A Changing
World (7th ed.). New York, N.Y.: McGraw-Hill/Irwin.

This is how the authors are listed on the front of my book:

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Ferrell, O. C., Hirt, G. A., & Ferrell, L. (2002). Business: A Changing World. (7th ed.). New York: McGraw-Hill/Irwin.

I think it should be this^

Basically the changes: abbreviating first names to initials and condensing it to just "New York."

But, it looks right to me. But, we only covered APA in a couple of days in class. :/

What do you think?

The problem is with how you listed the authors. You only put the & sign before the last author. Usually, when I site in APA formatting for any textbooks, if it's for New York City, then I would have it as:

Authors (date). Title. New York City, NY: Publisher.

For APA, you must always state the location as city, state or city, province. Leaving the state or province out is not proper APA citation.

Another real quick note on the subject of APA...

The 6th edition of their style manual just came out earlier this year, so if you haven't updated to the new manual, it would be a worthwhile thing to do. I bought the new manual, and there are a number of changes that I didn't know about and are relatively major.
