Real Trouble at school, help! - November 3rd 2009, 03:39 PM

hey there

i'm new to this sort fo forum thing, so you'll have tyo bear with me.

basically, this year at school, me and a friend are doing very well in our ICT class. our teacher last year, Mrs A, said it would be ok to share coursework with each other, so long as we dont copy each other, just for verifying work etc.

i did this with my friend before the summer holiday and we both ended up with high marks. success!

however, i lost my memory stick the following year, and 'Student Support' teach, Mrs. B, said i had other peoples work on it when she found it.

we have a new ICT teacher now, Mr C, who decided to investigate this further to see whether we have been cheating or not.

now im adomant that i havent copied anyone, but the teachers rezction to what he found suggests that i did.

i just broke it to my parents. they know that ive not been the best child at school this year, im going through a phase of lieing to cover myself, but im really telling the truth, and my parents are really upset, and so am i. i virtually ran straight through my front for and burst out in tears. they wasnt so pitiful. i can see my mum has had it with me, and i really dont have anyone else to talk to. can anybody help me?

thankyoux.

can't you just say you were sharing the memory stick?. i have loads of my friends work on my memory stick and vice versa from when one of us has forgotten to bring it in. it's not a big deal so they shouldn't get you in trouble over it. they can look at your work and see that it's not copied off someone else, so as long as you are innocent.. don't worry about it. :]

This happens in my school too. People share memory sticks and I have other peoples work on my memory stick because they have asked me to print it out for them as they didn't have a printer. It was a very regular thing and the teachers know about it and don't mind.

If this doesn't work you could get Mrs A to talk to Mr C and explain how she let you share coursework and that you did not cheat.
