Hey Emily, You can be anything you want to be! Don't let your problems from the past stop you from doing what you want in the future. You're only 15 and have plenty of time to sort out your problems. Have you got any help with your problems? If not then you should definitely consider this. I just wanted to say that I have had lots of problems in the past but I got into uni and I am in my first year training to be a social worker. It just shows that it is possible. At least you will have experience, which should make you a better psychologist and it should help you to understand people better.

I find that sometimes the more experience you have of problems the more you can help. The best counselors are those that have been there themselves, also, you are only 15, it will probably be something like 8 years before you will be qualified, so you have plenty of time to get better. Don't let your past stop you from achieving your dreams! I think if you did a survey you would find that most psychologists, nurses etc. have had some major problems in there lives, thats what makes them good at there jobs, they understand you. Also, you might want to look at other careers, such as psychiatry, mental health nursing, or social work. Have a look at this site for job profiles and see if there is anything you like the look of

h is a bluebird that you see from afar
it is real and as sure as the first evening star
can't touch it, or buy it, or lock it up tight
but its there just the same
making things turn out right

Hey Emily!
I say that a ton of people discover their dream job by going through their toughest endeavors. So I imagine that if you seek help, you could discover whether or not that really is your dream job, and if so then I think that your experience with it will help you even more.
