Unhappy college - January 28th 2009, 01:26 PM

so, im going off to college next year, and I plan to major in psychology and minor in theatre. I've always been very good in school and liked it in a way lol. To be honest though, Im really scared. I've picked my top 5 schools to apply to and everything, and they're all in this state, but Im scared about everything. What if I dont succeed? What if I dont make the right friends? What if I dont make the right decisions? I just need some advice. . .

Hi Jocie,

You have nothing to be afraid about. You WILL succeed if you try your best at school and open your mind up to new things. Obviously, being nervous is totally understandable, considering you will be in a whole new enviornment next year. However, you need to try and keep positive. You will make friends and one good way to meet new people is to join clubs, etc. at your school. Ultimately, you will need to take some risks, and they could work out for you. Give everything a chance and be open-minded! Good luck!

How did Ghandi ever withstand the hunger strikes and all,
Didn't do it to gain power or money if I recall,
It's to give; I guess I'll pass it on

If you work hard and apply yourself you'll be fine ^_^

making friends in college is easier in school because everyone wants to be there and they'll have much the same interests especially if they're on the same course(s)

The friends would ideally be in the same programs/courses as you and also want to succeed. Study and work hard, and you'll do well.
