Question Animal Farm or Tale of two cites Which would you do a research paper on - December 31st 2009, 09:48 PM

Which do you do you think has more out there to do a paper on? I have to do an 8-10 page long research paper for 12th grade English starting middle to end of next week. I have it narrowed down to those two for topics, but can not decide and want to do it on something for which there are enough sources print and computer for an 8-10 page paper.

Which do you think would be better, and have more out there on it?

Animal Farm.

It's shorter, more enjoyable to read and analyse, has a more interesting topic, more accesible writing style, plenty of background history to look into and the issues are easier to spot.

However, I suppose it would depend on what exactly the essay question is. But chances are I'd still pick Animal Farm.

I have already read Animal Farm first 9 weeks, so that would be cool, but the teacher said that people that do the book they are doing their current indepenant reading on do well on the independant reading test. But yes Jack you have a great poi

A Tale of Two Cities would probably be more in depth to analyse but it's not one of my favourite Shakespeare plays.
I haven't read Animal Farm but it does seem more interesting.

A Tale Of Two Cities is a novel by Charles Dickens.

I would definitely say Animal Farm is the easier of the two options.
Good luck with the paper!

Oops on TOTC, lol.

I wouldn't do either because I had to read them in school and think they've been beat to death as books by high school students and teachers and are boor-ing. Meh. Meh. Meh.

I would choose a book that is written about and of critical acclaim, but not on the "To be Read by Everyone Ever in School" list.

Of the two, I'd do animal farm, though. (If you to TOTC, don't write about Jesus )

Damn, I wasn't sure if I had it right or not, silly me

What's the one Shakespeare did with a similar name?

I'd have to go with Animal Farm, it's one of the few books that I actually enjoyed while being forced to read it.

I agree with Jack^

I would do Animal Farm. I think it's easier.

Good luck by the way.

I haven't read The Tale Of Two Cities (only seen it in theatrical form) but I think Animal Farm would definitely be the better choice, if you're good at analyzing. Every time I discuss that book with someone I notice something new...

I'd say Animal Farm, I like it more and I think it'd be easier to analyze than TOTC.
