What to do with myself... - January 29th 2009, 08:10 AM

Hey

I was in college last year studying Politics, Economics, Psychology and ICT.
Unfortunately I failed that year and only passed my ICT AS Level at grade B. When I tried to reapply to go back to college, all the college's were full and had no places which forced me to take a year out and go back to college this year September. However, that is 6months away...

I don't think not being able to do anything. I have been working at john lewis but that was only a christmas temporary jobs and now im working in a call centre which is really shit because I have got work their in weeks.

I think to keep active and keep my brain working harder, doing things which challenge me but I dont want to waste away these next 6 months doing nothing.

I'm in to parkour (free runnning), gymnastics, and magic (street, bar and table magic).

I want to become a stuntman, and im just needing some help on what I could do for the nexts months?

any ideas, suggests please?

Thanks.

i'm not completely sure on the subject, but to become a stuntman, i am guessing you need some form of drama as a qualitifaction or side hobby, so you could attend a class or something.

also, you can try out at doing certain sports that allow you to obtain stunts i.e. skateboarding, dancing, ect. it'll all be good on your CV and be a good experience as well a fun and rewarding hobby.

hope that helps.

Hiya. Check out this link on Jobs4u. It tells you all about getting in and what the work involves. As for what to do currently, I hope that reading the job article will shed some light on what you could do now to help you get into the industry.

Thanks guys, I'm also thinking of doing a snowboarding instructor course as I snowboard and to get some money rolling to get on with my stunt career.
