I'm taking an online sociology class and already I'm not doing well. I didn't take the first quiz because something happened with my laptop. So I lost points for that, and I just took another quiz and got a 5 out of 10... I'm freakin already I need some words or help..

If something happens with your laptop/computer while you're taking the quiz you should notify the professor immediately so they can let you retake it, it might be too late now though since she might assume you're trying to cheat. As for the 5/10 the best thing you can do is try to study more. One quiz (or two) shouldn't ruin your grade.

That's awesome that you're taking Sociology. I take it too, but in a classroom.
Talk to your professor about the first quiz. He/she should allow you to take it. Just keep working. You'll get there. Like what Kate said, a few low marks won't ruin everything for you. You can do it!!! There is always hope. PM me anytime. SH Free since 10.20.08 |

I did first-year sociology and next year or in the summer will do at least 1 2nd year sociology course. I'm not sure what aspects you're covering in specific but I assume you're learning the various views, such as Marxism, feminism, structural-functionalism, etc... . For me, each time there was something regarding any one of those, I'd ignore the question for a bit and just think to myself the basics of each. If it was for Marxism, I'd think of economy, money, capitalists vs. workers, etc.... . After I recalled it, then I'd look at the question. For the more open-ended questions where multiple views can apply, simply think of the definitions of each view. If you want more help, then can you post the areas you're covering and what you're not understanding? |
