Transferring Schools? - February 9th 2009, 08:37 PM

Has anyone transferred from one uni into another? What was it like? What is hard to be accepted and stuff? Any information would be great. :]

Re: Transferring Schools? - February 12th 2009, 03:53 AM

I sort of transferred. I attended the University of Toledo for high school, then a community college for fun, and then I went to the Ohio State University. In my case, transferring was alright because of the semester-to-quarter transition. I received more credits for my semester classes. Like semesters sophomores are usually 28 and quarters are 46, and with semesters I had 28 credits but somehow I ended up with 52 quarter hours.

However, from my friends' experiences, it can be mixed if your transferring from quarters to semesters. Chris ended up repeating his first year because nothing transferred, but part of that might have been him failing a lot of his classes. Heath had a lot better experience and ended up with more quarters at University of Toledo from Ohio State.

I used something called CAS, or Course something Service. I thinki it's transfer.org.

For me, I had to apply through standard applications for freshmen (even though I was already a second-year.) It was easy and I sort of applied in like twenty minutes. People spent like hours on their application and some people weren't accepted to the main campus. I think they sort of were pissed at me.
