I think you should talk to her anyway. You know you need the help and teachers are there to help you.
If you find you really can't talk to her try asking someone else. Is there another student or teacher that can help you out?
Good luck!

How about asking her after the lesson? I know it's a lot easier for me to ask for help once everyone has gone as it's like less eyes are on you sort of thing. Maybe you can send her an email, if you're not comfortable asking her face-to-face.

Good luck :]

Could you ask another teacher that teaches the same subject or maybe just try and break the ice with her...I had to with a lot of my teachers but it gets easier, you just have to make the first move.

Hi Amelia,

You have no reason to be scared of your teacher. It looks like you are in a difficult course, but your teacher is only pushing you to reach your potential in the class and more. You need to ask for help because asking questions is one of the best ways to grow. Plus, your teacher should have no reason not to help you because that is her job. Good luck!

What's to be scared of? If it's being scared of asking during a class, then see the teacher before or after the class. There's no sense in being scared as they're not going to hurt you. If you go to talk to her, you can try by talking about some non-academic stuff then once you're comfortable after a few minutes, talk about the academic stuff. Asking another teacher that teaches the same subject may or may not be a good move depending on the question. If it's a simple question relating to the subject matter, the other teacher should know it but if it's something specific in class or about an assignment, that other teacher may be unable to know.

Just take a few really deep breaths, think exactly what you are going to say, and tell yourself that you are going to do it, and your going to do it now. Also it might help to do it at the end of the lesson, with a friend present. I know that its not a good idea to carry on this way, I kept putting off asking help from one of my teachers with a major peice of coursework, then I had to do it with 2 days spare. I could have done a lot better than I did if I had asked sooner.

Okay i did try and talk to her well i had it in my mind to but when the time came i ran into the bathroom before she could see me and waited for 15 minutes until i was sure she had gone ( i was on a free period though so i didn't miss a lesson)
I've never been this scared of anyone before, bar myself but that's a whole other matter
