Factors - September 3rd 2010, 05:29 AM

Is anyone here good with factoring? I am at a, total, stand still right now. Is there any way to find these things without wanting to murder old math teachers?

Yes, I am relearning math from scratch, pretty much.

You can find them all over the Internet by Google. I'm good at factoring as it's simple math. What exactly do you want to know?

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.

Have you tried buying a maths revision guide? I always found those really helpful so I could work out how to do them myself step by step. There are also lots of useful revision websites too

Everything WOW. :P I have looked it up online, and nothing is helpful. Do I just take out a calculator and start dividing, by 2, 3, 4, etc. until I find its factors? If so, isn't there a less time consuming way?

If you type factorising in google you will get more results than if you type in factoring.
Are you trying to find the lowest common factor?

Thank you Leikela! I had never even heard of the word factorizing but with it you helped me find a page online that explained exactly what everything else did not.

Okay, another question, what do you do if you are factoring a number, and one of the numbers come out prime? Does that become the final factor? Never mind, I found out. :P

Mods can close this now.
