Hey there,

With that much experience through the restaurant, you could probably get a job anywhere. What did you do at the restaurant?

A good resume is important. Go around on internet and check a proper format for a resume. Remember that a well-written resume shows how dedicate you are, while sloopy, grammar mistake infested resume shows how careless you are. Have other people read your resume and make sure it is mistake-free.

Also, if you are interviewed for your job (I assume a lot of jobs do), you could always draw back on your rich experience of your restaurant jobs for answers. There are many questions that an interviewer asks such as, "Describe one situation that puts you in a tough position, and how do you resolve it", or "Describe your leadership role in past experience". I work in my parents' restaurant for only 1 and a half and I can draw so many examples from my experience. A good interview can get you hired despite your disadvantages.

Going back to school could also improve your profession, that's it, if you have the money to support the duration of it. Good grades and higher degree can net you a higher paying job with much better condition.

Be prepared for a lot of rejection- these days are tough. But if you ask around enough, there is bound to be a place looking for someone like YOU. Look hard. Look everywhere.

To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give of one's self; To leave the world a bit better...; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - This is to have succeeded. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
