Biology - October 20th 2010, 02:21 PM

For my college Bio class we have to research an organism that uses cell respiration or fermentation and contributes to our envrionment. But I just can't think of anything ... other people have already used the first ones I thought of which were bees, trees, and algae.

It's better to cross the line &
suffer the consequences
than to just stare at the line
for the rest of your life.

Some sort of microbe? I know a lot of them contribute to the environmet.

If making alcohol is considered a contribution to the environment then you could do yeast

If not, then have a look at some different microbes on Google

How about yeast? You can't have pizza without yeast.

That's the exact thing that came up on my mind immediately after reading the description.

To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give of one's self; To leave the world a bit better...; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - This is to have succeeded. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
