Have no idea what and where to study - November 27th 2010, 09:31 PM

I'm graduating high school in two years, yet I hardly have an idea where/what to study/work. I'm studying in an English school right now and as the country I'm living in is pretty crappy in terms of education and salaries, I was thinking about going to the USA or UK but I'm hearing studying there is pretty expensive and I don't really have the financial possibilities.

The other problem is that I don't know what do I want to work. To be sincere, I'm not interested in anything...,really. When I was 10 years old my dream was to become a computer programmer. But I've lost interest even in that. And it isn't like I'm dumb or anything, just perspectiveless...

Do you have any suggestions what should I do? Thanks in advance!

I don't think it's unusual to not know what you do even when you only have two years of high school left. Frankly, I didn't decide on what I wanted to do for my education until it was time to apply to schools. I'm in University and I'm still not 100% about what I want to do for a career.

I suggest going to college after you graduating and enrolling in a general studies and arts program. Take a bunch of courses and see what interests you. You can always change your major or transfer to another program!

Thanks for the reply, Janelle. Though I'd like to know what are the USA colleges like. In terms of payment, education quality, etc... Is there anyone willing to explain some?
