not sure what to do - December 14th 2010, 04:08 AM

so i'm looking at university stuff again and i'm trying to figure out residency stuff. But what i'm trying to figure out isn't about the actual time of uni, it's the summers i'm worried about.
I know that if I stay here during the summers with my parents i could probably stay free the whole time. However the tough part is that my family (expecialy my dad) is hardcore about religous stuff.

And I know that with my dad being the way he is, if I lived here I'd probably be forced to go to church, and I really don't want to do that. And if I told him that I wan't christain, he'd probably want to kick me out anyways
So I know it's good to save money and all that but at the same time I don't want to pretend to be christian.

Any ideas?

You're amazing just the way you are

You could always find an apartment off-campus for the summer and keep it for during the school year as well. I go to university in Canada and there is also a residence building that is open during the summer for people who want to stay here, take summer school courses, etc.

If you really don't want to live at home for the summer and need an excuse to stay at university, I'd suggest: (1) find a good job, that way your parents will see you have something to stay here for (2) take a summer school course(s).
