Cotillion - January 20th 2011, 07:25 PM

I was wondering if anyone else attended Cotillion in elementary/middle school?

I had been under the impression that it was a pretty common after school activity kids went to for a few months in elementary school, but I was explaining to a NY friend recently how I learned to dance in cotillion and she had no idea what I was talking about. She started calling it charm school.

Anyway, did anyone else go? We basically learned a few easy dances and to ask "May I have this dance?" and which side of the plate certain utensils go on.
