University Offers (UK) :D - January 31st 2011, 05:34 PM

So I just felt like making a thread here where everyone can post their university offers if they feel like it

I've got 2 so far still waiting for the other 3 to respond.

A conditional at Lincoln for CCC and a conditional at Abertay for CCD

You have a pretty good range of offers there which is good because you can put a higher offer and your firm and then have a lower offer you know you will get as an insurance.

Last year all of my offers were CCC so if I missed my firm I missed my insurance too and had nothing.

Do think about Dundee, the campus is lovely and it is regarded as a good University, I know you prefer the modules at Abertay but it's very difficult to say that you will like specific modules more or pick courses based on the modules when you don't have experience with them, the reality will be different so just y'know think about other factors too. University rep is annoyingly quite a significant factor due to graduate prospects. And yeah the campus at Dundee is amazing!

Congrats on your offers everyone!

Ahh, yeah, trouble is I don't think I'll get BBC so it seems like a bit of a waste putting that as my top one and stuff =/

Still waiting for my other two offers and the other two said on the site they want CCD and CC so I'll probably put one of those as the insurance

Had an interview on Wednesday a University of Cumbria and should hear by next Saturday.

Got an offer from Bradford Uni for a foundation year 120 points. Really don't want to go there though. I only applied because I thought I wouldn't get any offers from anyone else.

I have an interview with University of Derby on Wednesday.

2 out of 5 offers so far and 2 interview. I still haven't heard from Cardiff but I am expecting a rejection.

Ooh, Derby, that's near me

Good luck for you interviews Rachel

I'm still waiting to hear from my last two, I hope they get back to me before the January results are out, I don't think I did so well in the exams and wouldn't want that to affect the decision.

I have an offer from Birmingham - AAA (they pushed the grades up!)
Also Aberystwyth - BBB
Also Gloucestershire - they just want 280 UCAS points any which way
I'm waiting for East Anglia, my first choice. I'll need AAA if they give me the offer.

Good luck everyone <3

The more I research Derby the more I like it. It actually has the nicest accommodation out of the ones I have applied too.

And as far as I know the Uni's don't receive your results in March they just receive your final grade at the end of the year.

My brother's UCAS has been ridiculously successful... Don't think I stand a chance of getting the same when I apply next year. For maths, he's got offers from Cambridge (A*AA 1 in step), Warwick (A*A*AA 2 in step or A*AAA 1 in step), Imperial (A*A*AA 2 in step), Bath (A*AA 2 in step) and Bristol (AAA)... Outrageously clever...

Just got an offer from University of Cumbria.
They were my firm choice last year, not sure this year though.

I have to go and see Derby on Wednesday and then I can start making decisions. I am not as stressed for Derby now as I have 3 out of 5 offers. One of those is for a foundation year which I can reject now I have 2 decent offers.

University of Cumbria are my Valentine for 2011

I went to Derby on Wednesday and loved it. I have to wait until mid March for a reply after they have interviewed everyone.

If they make me an offer I am going to have a hard time making a decision. I have an offer from one uni I really like and another which I like and it has a great reputation and is really well known and the offer they have made me is really low for them so I just don't know what to do. If Derby make me an offer I will be even worse...

This is a lot more difficult than last year.

I've now heard back from all the uni's I applied to. I have 3 conditionals and 2 rejections; my first choice turned me down after reviewing my portfolio.

I can't choose between B'ham and Aberyswyth, but I guess I've got a while to decide. I've applied for a scholarship at Aber so we'll see how that goes.

Got rejected from Cardiff which I was expecting because of my grades and I was planning on withdrawing really because I decided the distance was too much.

Now I have heard from 4 out of 5 Uni's and I am just waiting for Derby to get back to me and they said that should be mid march. So far 3 out of 5 offers and 1 Rejection.

Last year I had 4 out of 5 offers and 1 rejection so if Derby make me an offer I am in the same position as last time. (Except this time I like 3 of them, last year I only liked 1)

I think I'm going to make Aberystwyth my first choice, despite the AAA offer at Birmingham. Aber feels like a friendlier place with a nicer atmosphere and a brilliant department for my subject. I actually applied there at the very last minute, which was a rash decision I'm glad I made

I'm really nervous about my January exam results; I need at least a B in English to get into any of the places I've applied to. :/

Congrats everyone

I'm still waiting for the other two to get back to me. But I went to the Dundee Applicant day on Saturday and it looks like a good place, the staff were much friendlier and more approachable than the ones at Lincoln which is a good sign.

Another offer today.

RGU want BCC with a B in Biology. Eep, that went up from CC

I'm going to see Abertay in a couple of weeks and if I like it then I might just put Abertay and Dundee as my final choices. The city really is great.

Just waiting on Edinburgh Napier now and I think if they give me a decent offer it'd make my choice harder.

Whats Dundee's offer? Or is it the same as Abertay? Abertay wanted BCC when I applied.

Got an offer through from Glasgow University. Conditional is an A for MA Music. I've wanted to go there for years, so hopefully this is the chance I've been waiting for.
