Question What courses? - February 2nd 2011, 07:31 AM

What subjects/courses do you take at school or at uni?
In my junior years I took the compulsory subjects:
History and Geography
Music (Compulsory till Year 8 then I chose it as an elective from Year 9-12)
Drama (Compulsory in Year 7 then I chose it as an elective from Year 9-12)
Commerce (Chose it as an elective in year 9).
In my senior years at school I took:
Advanced English
General Maths
Legal Studies
Modern History
And in Uni I'll be doing Journalism.

In school till I was 16 I did:
English language,
English literature,
RE (short course)

and then in college till I was 18 I did:
English Literature,
Use of maths,

In uni, I did a science foundation year and failed

In school i did:
English language
English lit
personal finace
Additional science
science - biology,phsyics and chemistry
I also did a placement in year 10 and 11 since school weren't really for me.
In college (UK) i studied last year first diploma in animal care
in college this year and next year im doing animal management and also functional skills maths(i didn't chose to do maths tho)

Grade 12 courses:
- Advanced Placement Physics, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, 3-D Math with probability, English and Economics

At university:

First Year
- Chemistry, Calculus, Physics (dropped it), English and 2 first year biology courses
- During the summer I did 1st year Psychology

Second Year:
- Plant & Animal Physiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Organic Chemistry, Ecology, Medical Pharmacology, Abnormal Psychology, Human Neuropsychology and Gerentology.
- During the summer I did 2nd year Statistics

Third year:
- Neurophysiology, Cognitive Psychology (2nd year course), Sociology (first year course), Comparative Vertebrate Evolution & Anatomy, Forensic Psychology, Biological Abnormal Psychology, Another Statistics course (2nd year course), Biological Animal Behaviour, Psychology of Human Communication (2nd year course), Cross-Cultural Psychology,
- During the Summer I did Criminology (2nd year course)

Fourth year:
- Integrative Animal Physiology, Developmental Neuropsychology, Adult Abnormal Psychology, Neuroendocrinology of Sex, 3rd year Criminology

- Currently am doing: Functional Morphology, Brain-Injury Neuropsychology, Neuroplasticity, Biological Motivational Systems and Sociology of Punishment

Computer studies,
Classical studies,

First year of uni (first semester really):
Biological Anthropology,
Computer science

Until I was in Grade 12 I took

- Social studies (Which is politics, history and economics all in one course)
- Math Pure (I suppose that would be like Calculus and Algerbra until the hardest level)
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- English
- French (only until grade 10)
- Religious Studies
- Self-directed Community Health

In Universiry so far ( I was going into biology education but have changed to Native American Education)
I have taken:
- Women studies 1000
- Biology 1010, 1020, 2000, and 2200 (introduction to cells, introduction to animals, genetics and ecology)
- Chemistry 1000
- Calculus - Math 1560
- Writing 1000
- Art 2031 & 2032
- Native American Studies 1000
- Psychology 1000 and 2850(Human sexuality = Best class so far)
- Kinesiology 1000
- Basketball I

Last semester I took;
Ancient Civilisations

This semester I have figured out I am going to do a double major in Philosophy and English (so I can go into a Masters of Teaching and specialise in them), and am studying Psychology and Latin to fill in classes.

Standard Grades:
Maths, English, French, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Modern Studies.

Intermediate 2:

Music, English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Economics

Advanced Higher:

1st year of Chemistry at Uni:
Chemistry 1A, 1B, astronomy, applicable mathematics, mathematical methods, French, Science and Society.

2nd year Chemistry:
Chemistry 2, Chemical Pharmacology, Materials Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry.

Then I switched to Ecology, so 2nd year Ecology:
Global Environmental Processes, Principles of Ecology, Natural Hazards, Oceanography, Environmental and Community Biology and Soil, Water and Atmospheric Processes. [last three I am currently studying]

Last semester:
Anatomy I w/lab
Comp II (apparently my psych composition did not transfer)
EMT-B w/clinicals
Lifespans (had the psych before but it transferred as childhood)
Nutrition (pointless class)

I think that's it. I feel like I am forgetting something though.

Apart from cores (Irish, English, Maths) I did French, Home Economics and Art for my Junior Cycle of secondary school. For the senior cycle I did French, History, Biology and Home Ec.

College I'm studying Italian with Psychology, and did English and Linguistics in first year too.
