Burnt out - February 21st 2011, 12:52 AM

I am feeling so stressed between school, work, and my intership. I just need a break but I can't get one. I always hear about good self care but I do not have time to practice it.

Those three things were overwhelming me recently as well (along with personal/life issues). Eventually, I ended up cutting back on my internship hours and taking a bunch of time off from work. I know that may not be a possibility for you, but basically, try to find some area in your life where you can cut back and give yourself some much-needed rest. Maybe become a part-time student, if you absolutely need the money from work and the experience from your internship. Maybe work different hours, so you have one full day to just sit down and relax for a bit before getting back to business as usual.

That can be rough at time for sure. What about working on your school work that's due later in the semester? If there is a project or paper try to slowly chip away at it by researching 5 minutes here and there. Eventually you'll have knocked out several hours and that could help the stress later on also.
