Might go into the military - August 7th 2011, 08:34 PM

But sure which one specifically (i.e Army, Air Force, Navy, etc...). I'm trying to do some research, like what the basic training involves, if to become say a doctor or something similar (I'm better mentally than physically) you need to do said basic training, etc... Just thought I'd share but I'm also wondering if there are any where there isn't the basic training, or it isn't extremely physical or even if it's shorter than the usual 9 weeks. It's only because I don't see myself being able to pull through Basic training for almost any of them because I have a lot of issues, obviously being overweight is one that can be fixed but I have exercise induced asthma so a few minutes into running or even jogging, I can't breathe, and the inhaler can only help so much but not enough I can run a whole mile or anything. So that's a big issue for me but I really want to join the military and then go onto college and stuff.

I know the Army everyone have to do basic training. Also, I do not want to put you off or upset you, but there is a pretty good chance that your asthma would keep you out of any branch. I know because my medical condition is the only reason I am not in the service.
