Could I..? -
August 17th 2011, 02:37 PM
Could I do A levels at college in English Language & Literature if I got a D in my GCSE's. Because I wanna do A levels as it's already 2 years. Don't want it to take 3 years to finish college at my age [17]

It's unlikely that you'd be allowed to take English at A-level if you get a D in your GCSE, sorry
I don't know what your sixth form is like, but at mine, they really want you to have a B in the subjects that you're taking. You should ba able to do GCSE and then AS level english alongside your other A-levels though =)

In my sixth form, sometimes they let you re take some of you're GCSE's alongside doing A levels. So you could pick 3 other AS's, re take you're English GCSE's then when you take you're AS's to A2 you could do English at AS level, that way at least you can get an AS in English, even if you can't get the full A level
Just something to think about! ![]() It's never too late to go to college, so don't worry about that! People who go to college are of all ages, you definately won't be the oldest ![]() |
