Over school already... Senioritis? More like IDGAF. - November 9th 2011, 11:24 PM

I went from above a 4.0 to a 3.1 over the course of my freshman year until now (senior year). 3.1 sounds okay, but that's if you average all 4 years together. Between junior and senior year, I haven't gotten anything above a 2.0. I think I finished junior year with a 1.8 and my current senior year GPA is exactly a 2.0. It's not like I'm stupid or anything. Statewide, I was in the top percentile for standardized testing, and my SAT scores are pretty much good enough that I could go anywhere I wanted if I have the grades. I just kind of stopped giving a fuck about school during sophomore year. If it wasn't for the camaraderie aspect of it, I would probably show up a lot less than I do.

Anyway, everything is starting to catch up with me. I go to a Senior Project school, so it is a requirement that we do Senior Project. Well, I haven't started. That's not the biggest of my problems though. I haven't really even been to school this quarter. We're allowed to have 10 absences for the YEAR if we want to participate in extra-curriculars (prom, sports, commencement, etc), and I'm already at 15 and 1st semester isn't even over for another month still.

My grade level counselor is kind of really crappy when it comes to stuff like this, so I'm talking to the junior counselor and trying to figure it out. I mean I know what I have to do, but honestly, I'm pretty unmotivated. I've already applied to colleges and basically I have a guaranteed admission into Colorado Mesa, Univeristy of Hawaii at Hilo, and a couple other schools like that. Not my first choices, but yeah. Of course I kind of have to finish high school if I want to go to college at all. Anyway, at this point I'm just like... Bleh okay what the fuck am I gonna do? It's 6 months from graduation at this point, which isn't a lot of time if you figure there's still over a month of vacation time in that, and I'm just can't motivate myself to finish.
