Myers-Briggs personality typing. - February 20th 2012, 12:20 AM

Hello all!

I'm posting this in this particular forum, considering the test itself was originally created to help people discover, through a relatively scientific method, what career paths may be suitable based on their personality.

My favorite way to describe this is as a 'scientific' horoscope of sorts... Because now, not only does it give good suggestions on the topic of careers, but there are hundreds of websites where you can read how your specific 'type' relates to many other aspects of life.

Some people may call this BS, but I find it to be quite accurate. Horoscopes, I do not. Anyone who's into this sort of thing should definitely take 10 minutes to take the quiz, and it's very interesting reading about your type.

I personally am an INFJ. My particular type accounts for less than 1% of the world's population, and some 'celebrities' with the same type include Hitler & Martin Luther King.. Ha!

I was required to take the test for my education class last semester, I'm an INTJ.

The career suggestions actually go along with what I already wanted to do. I want to create curricula for schools, and that was one of the things INTJs are good at. Pretty nifty. There was a big long list of well-known people with the same personality type, including a handful of US presidents, Hilary Clinton, and Stephen Hawkins.

But you're stronger, stronger than you know

You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

Every version of this test I've taken says I'm an ISTJ. Two famous ISTJ's supposedly are George Washington and Eeyore.

I took this for a class once, but just took it again because I forgot what I was

I'm INFJ I'm on the right career path (social work, education, counseling, or law) It's actually really acurate.

ENFP. I get it every time, no matter what version of the Meyers-Briggs personality test I take. ENFP really does describe me better than all the other personality types. ^^

That's pretty interesting. I'm an INTJ.

It's pretty accurate, seeing that I am an engineering student.

I've taken multiple Meyers-Briggs personality tests, and every single one has given me INTJ. It's eery how accurate it is in its description, especially considering how it is accurate in many things upon which the test does not directly touch.

I've taken this test many times and I usually get INFJ though it's always on the boarder of INTJ.

Funny how rare these types are, yet how many of them are on teenhelp.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. It makes sense though, because people with certain personalities, especially the ones that would fit well in the helping professions would find this place.
