ECOT - April 7th 2012, 05:08 AM

I have been thinking about starting online schooling for my Junior year. My mother said she wouldn't mind if I did. The catch is that I have to get my father to agree, and he's uncertain if he would rather me do that than regular schooling. Does anyone here know anything about online schooling that could help?

You wouldn't have to deal with the drama and stuff at school its a safer environment for learning. And you can alsomlearn at your own pace where schoolmpushes you to keep up with them and can over look you not understanding. You have a better chance of learning more because at my school teachers spend more time trying to keep us in line and acting right than teaching the lesson.

Why are you taking online courses? Is it because you do not like the setting of being at school and dealing with the frustration? I'm not saying its a bad idea, if that's what you want to do, go for it.

But I'm assuming this is for high school, why not just get your GED?

Yes. I don't like my school, classmates, or being overwhelmed with stress whenever I go there.
What do you mean by GED?

A GED is a certificate you get in place of a high school diploma. Basically you take classes or study on your own and then take a series of 5 tests. Once you pass them, you're granted a GED. And it's supposed to be the same as graduating high school without actualy graduating, but it usually isn't viewed the same way. it stands for General Eqivalency Diploma/degree.
